Advanced Sound Echoes

Advances in Technology

It is amazing how so many people have no idea the many ways an ultrasound machine can be used to save a life.

Many years ago, when a person was heard talking about an ultrasound procedure, most of us would first think there was pregnancy.  But in fact, since the late 1940’s, ultrasound has been used in the same way as x-rays to imagea3c0f8.jpg the inside of our bodies.  According to Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, “doctors have used ultrasound with heart patients, while also branching out into obstetrics, gynecology and abdominal uses since the 1950’s and 60’s”.

The manufacturers of ultrasound machines have made many improvements since the early uses of this technology.  The early models produced images much like a seismograph.  Now these machines will produce vivid pictures showing a great amount of detail in 3D and 4D.  Pictures so clear doctors can diagnose their patients without surgery.

AUE proudly sells, services and provides replacement parts for these state-of-the-art machines.  We currently have in stock:

Acuson Cypress, GE Logiq 5,  GE Voluson BTO3 Expert, HP Sonos 7500 with Live 3D, Philips HD11, Philips iU22 OB/GYN System, Philips IE33, Philips/Sonos 5500, Sequoia 512 and Sequoia C256.  What we do not have in stock we can get and offer prices that are very competitive.

New Contacts made at MD Expo '09

George and John attended the MD Expo ‘09 last month in Nashville, Tennessee.  While they were there they made a few new contacts, (Kathleen Rowlands with West Coast Computer Exchange, for one) and have a very good outlook for our 4th quarter numbers.
They discussed our current capabilities with various dealers and vendors.  We have excellent success repairing the following Sequoia boards RDP2, RDP5 and RDP 7, RX4R, MX2R, MX3R, PIC,
"Hello?  Can you hear me now?"
PIC2 and BDM2 boards.  We are also successful on repairing DPS, APS, MPS, Channel, FEC, PSP1 and PSP2 boards on the HDI 3000.  PSM, FEC, AIM, AIM+, AIFOM, Channel boards and Lower Control Panels for HDI 5000 and any board for the HP 5500 machine, but mostly Distribution boards, Power Supply, Monitors, PG boards, RTHETA, Keyscanners and Physio boards are also repaired at our facility.

We have very knowledgeable and talented Technicians in our employ, which gives us the confidence to repair the boards described above.
We are now repairing iU22 and IE33 boards, which consist of the following:
NAIM board, FEC board, Power Supply, Channel board, monitors and Front Plane assembly, among others.

Where’s John and George?

After talking to so many people at the MD Expo show, it was time for George and John to relax. We all know the trouble George has talking to people.  H09.jpge is the shy one in the family and can’t seem to break out of his shell long enough to carry on a conversation.  That being said, it is understandable why John and George would need to take a break and have a few spirits to chill down.  Then again, I think a few is maybe playing down the bar tab.  Who paid that tab anyway?

Updates on Website

In case you haven’t visited our website lately, please check it out.  We have updated the information on the machines and their prices as well as making sure there is a brief description for each item we display.   If it is at all possible we are trying to make sure there is a price for the items we sell with the exception of the probes because those prices vary too often.
Keep checking back with us because we are making strong efforts in updating on a regular basis and plan on posting “Specials” on the website too.  Don’t miss out on what could be a hot item!

AUE Holiday Schedule

If there are any plans in the works for a company dinner on Thanksgiving or a Christmas Party, please let me know so I can post it in our newsletter.

Numerous Uses for the Acuson Cypress

New to this industry, I look for accurate information so as to not misrepresent any area of the ultrasound machine and it’s ability.
While surfing the internet looking for uses of the Acuson Cypress and the details of it’s portability, I found some information written on the United Medical Instruments website.  I found it very interesting that this lightweight, hand-carried very portable ultrasound machine is used in a wide variety of procedures.  These procedures range from areas as simple as gauging the gestational age of a fetus to being used for an echocardiogram.According to United Medical  Instruments, “The Acuson Cypress echocardiography system is a highly miniaturized, all digital, phased array echocardiography system that provides complete studies and outstanding images—even on the most technically difficult patients.  Because today’s clinical environment leaves no room for compromise and no time for repeat studies, the Cypress system offers a full range of capabilities.  These include harmonic mode, high frame rate color flow mapping, Doppler, stress echo, digital image management and built-in DICOM connectivity.”

AUE proudly sells the Acuson Cypress and has it priced at a very reasonable $22,100.00, which includes one probe. We are committed to providing high quality systems at affordable prices.

Treatment of Varicose Veins

—story by: www.drmanik.com

Ultrasound is very useful for rejuvenation, as it improves the blood supply and improves the quality and texture of the skin. Ageing and wrinkled skin gradually smoothens out and begins to glow again, while the underlying muscles firm up. This cosmetic application of sonopuncture yields best results when done on a regular basis as it can slow down and reverse the ageing process. It should ideally be started in middle age when it can help the person to look young for many years.  It helps to improve the elasticity of scar tissue and is the treatment of choice following surgery as it ensures a soft smooth scar.
